Dentons has a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a long term career as a paralegal to join our successful Banking & Finance team on an initial 12 month contract. In this rewarding role you will be acting on behalf of a number of banks and lending institutions and managing the settlement process for the banks customers.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Acting as point of contact for our client;
- Dealing with customer enquiries via telephone and email;
- Drafting correspondence and verifying conditions of loans;
- Arranging settlements via PEXA;
- Filing/opening and closing files; and
- General administration tasks as required.
To be successful in this busy role, strong organisational skills are essential and you must be a team player. In addition, a high level of enthusiasm and energy is a must. Ideally you will have 1-2 years experience in similar roles and be keen to develop your career as a paralegal. The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Proven attention to detail;
- Superior written and verbal communication skills;
- A pro-active and flexible attitude;
- Accountability with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines; and
- Problem solving and negotiating skills.
Ideally we are interested in hearing from paralegals with settlements experience and PEXA familiarity. The successful candidate will be capable of handling a high volume of matters, and dealing with settlement related issues as they arise. You will enjoy working in a friendly team environment under supportive partners, with on the job training to help you along the way.
