We have an immediate secondment opportunity for an experienced Banking & Finance Lawyer, 5- 6 years PQE to work closely with one of our leading financial services clients. This will be an immediate secondment to our client for a fixed term contract of approximately 6 to 12 months.
This is a fantastic, rare opportunity for a mid-level banking Lawyer to go immediately on secondment to the financial services client and return to Dentons after the secondment is complete. You will work alongside one of our major clients to provide strategic and high quality legal advice to key stakeholders across the business.
Working in a supportive team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide financial product advice on all aspects of Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act.
- Provide advice to the in-house digital team on origination and fulfillment online.
- Product maintenance issues, including changes to various terms and conditions.
- Advice in relation to customer complaints and associated issues.
- Advice on licensing issues and third party arrangements for distribution of financial products.
- Support to the merchant services area.
What you'll need to succeed:
We are seeking a Lawyer with at least 5 - 6 years PQE experience in financial services regulation, particularly Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act. The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment.
