About the role
An exciting opportunity for a Paralegal looking to progress their career and join our successful Banking & Finance Team on a 12 month contract.
In this busy yet rewarding role you will be acting on behalf of one of Dentons' major clients managing home loan lending matters.
The work is fast paced and you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of files.
Your duties will include:
- Full responsibility of file management (from start to finish)
- Acting as a first point of contact for our client
- Verifying loan and security information
- Preparing legal documents
- Checking execution of documents
- Maintaining work-flow to ensure all conditions of lending matters are met
- Settling matters on PEXA
- General administration tasks
What you'll need to succeed:
You will be very well organised and have strong communication skills and attention to detail. In this role, you will handle a large workload and will be required to keep your workload up to date in order to meet deadlines. A high level of enthusiasm and energy is a must.
Ideally you will have 2+ years of law firm, banking or corporate support experience and will be keen to develop your career as a Paralegal.
You will work in a friendly team environment with a supportive partner, with on the job training to help you along the way. With a professional outlook, you will be self-motivated and driven, and you must be a team player.
Paralegal experience, an understanding of the settlement process, and familiarity with PEXA is essential.
